OUR STORY

 

Heng Seng Pawnshop was founded in 1971 — a time when Singapore was still finding its footing as a young nation. In those early years, pawnbroking was a vital financial lifeline for families across the island, providing quick, dignified access to cash when it was needed most. Heng Seng was built on that ethos: offer a fair rate, treat every customer with respect, and return their valuables when they come back for them.

Over five decades, we have grown from a neighbourhood shopfront in Toa Payoh into one of Singapore’s most respected pawnbrokers. Our team of professionally accredited appraisers has handled everything from heirloom gold jewellery and rare antiques to luxury timepieces and precious gemstones — bringing the same care and expertise to every piece that comes through our counter.
